Silent Witness The buffalo was at one time the main source of food for the plains Indians. They used all parts of the buffalo. Never waisted a single bone. This Indian, finds a grandfather skull. He holds it in his arms as his fingers caress it, he is reminded of the time, when he was a young boy, going out on his first Buffalo hunt. Now the vast herds of his youth are gone. This skull is a silent witness to it's own near extinction. PDF, printable, version of this page |
